Nothing significant but this is the final post on Tirana, Albania from my visit from April/May, 2018.

I went to have lunch at Mullixhiu, a highly praised restaurant in Tirana, Albania, for its interesting and tasty menu using local ingredients, but it didn’t quite work out so nicely unfortunately. What’s shown here was all good but I sent back stuff not shown here. ^^

House of Leaves, The Museum of Secret Surveillance, Tirana, Albania

I am not an art museum goer but this kind of factual, historical museum that’s close to people’s everyday life I find very interesting. This was scary although presented quite comically. A must visit if you’re in Tirana, Albania.

Trying Out Albanian Wines and More

On the way back to Tirana, the capital city of Albania, from Berat, one of the World Heritage sites in the country, my very kind (as it wasn’t included in the original plan) guide made a stop at a family-owned winery to try some local Albanian wines with other nibbles. Very relaxing and enjoyable time was spent and I took home a couple of bottles.

A Traditional House Visit and Lunching in Berat

A visit to the 18th-century traditional house turned into an ethnographic museum where the kind guide is a direct descendant of the original family that owned the Berat-Albania house. A relaxing lunch followed (at a different location).

To Market! in Tirana, Albania

The apartment I rented while in Tirana, the capital city of Albania, was right on the same square as where the city’s “New Market” was located. Very fun.

Lunching in Tirana, Albania

This was my first proper meal in Tirana, the capital city of Albania. It’s hard ordering for one but the grape leaf wrapped dolmas were excellent and I could just have that all day. The wine was from Kosovo.

Fun Installation Art in Tirana, Albania

This “jungle gym” like installation art is by a Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto and you can find it in front of the National Gallery of Arts in Tirana, the capital city of Albania. It’s fun to look at and explore and it’s also used for different activities as I saw during my stay in the city.
