I used to stay in Cannes for six nights straight in the past but due to changes in the industry, three nights has become just enough to get everything done. My final day in Cannes, France for 2018.

My life in Tokyo and sometimes in other parts of the world, part 2
It used to be in January/February and now it’s in June. I go to Cannes, France every year for my work. I’ve been doing it for over 25 years maybe. I quite like the routine mainly because I get to see people I like which doesn’t have to be in the south of France but it’s nice. I like renting apartments, different every time, as well.
Here is getting to Cannes from Paris.
From June 4 and 5, 2018.
This was back in May when I was invited to attend a music event being held at Institut Français du Japon in Tokyo. A bit difficult to see how busy it was but the courtyard of the Institute being used as a music venue to host Orelsan was packed. It was as though all French expats living in Tokyo gathered here. And they knew all the words to what the rapper had to say.

On the way back to Tirana, the capital city of Albania, from Berat, one of the World Heritage sites in the country, my very kind (as it wasn’t included in the original plan) guide made a stop at a family-owned winery to try some local Albanian wines with other nibbles. Very relaxing and enjoyable time was spent and I took home a couple of bottles.

A country about which I had very little information but knowing that it had multiple World Heritage sites, I decided to visit Albania for the “Golden Week” holiday from the end of April to the first week of May earlier this year. It was fascinating.
To begin, my Airbnb apartment in Tirana, the capital of Albania, ideally located in the “New Bazaar” quarter.
